Evandro Mesquita Rodrigues has more than 20 years of English as a Second Language teaching experience at the largest language teaching schools in Canada and Brazil, including Berlitz in Toronto. Currently Evandro teaches at the University of Toronto coordinating English translation as well as Portuguese-related courses. He also specializes in teaching IELTS and TOEFL test preparation courses. In 2014, he was recognized by the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies with the award for Excellence in Teaching in Languages. A Brazilian-born Canadian, he graduated in Business Administration at the Catholic University PUC-RS in Porto Alegre, RS (Brazil) and completed a certificate of Teaching 101 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and a TESOL certificate from Arizona State University.

Adile Öğüt has been in private tutoring of English as a Second Language (ESL) for 25 years, and more than a decade in preparing students for IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, SSAT, and ISEE exams. Adile is a graduate of Üsküdar American Academy, and she completed her bachelor’s degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. She was a private tutor of grammar, reading and writing during her university years and even continued when she was a banker at a medium-sized Turkish bank (Iktisat Bankası) and ABN AMRO Bank. After serving for 16 years in the banking sector, Adile transitioned to academia working as a Dean’s Assistant at Üsküdar American Academy for five years. Since then, she has been involved mainly in IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, SSAT and ISEE preparation for high school students who intend to study abroad.

Mine Eser has more than 30 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, including teaching positions at Marmara and Bosphorus universities in Istanbul. In her private practice, she prepares students for English proficiency tests, specializing in IELTS and TOEFL, and also tutors for SAT and ACT examinations. A graduate of Üsküdar American Academy, Mine has a bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature and an MBA from Bosphorus University in Istanbul. Mine is also a licensed career counselor, teacher trainer and English program designer.

Dr. Duncan Koerber has taught writing and communications courses for the past 12 years at eight Canadian universities to thousands of students.
Oxford University Press recently published his writing textbook, Clear, Precise, Direct: Strategies for Writing(2015). Available on Amazon, the book considers the seven most common errors (interfering factors) in writing and how to improve them (enhancing factors). His second book, Crisis Communication in Canada, is now out from University of Toronto Press.
Currently a professor at Brock University in Ontario, Canada, Duncan Koerber worked for nearly 10 years in reporting and editing roles for the London Free Press, the Mississauga News, and the University of Toronto Medium. He has freelanced for magazines and newspapers, including the Toronto Star.
Duncan Koerber has a bachelor of arts degree in English, Professional Writing, and Political Science from the University of Toronto (2001), a master of arts degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario (2003), and a Ph.D. in Communication and Culture from York University and Ryerson University (2009).
His academic writing, which focuses on media and journalism history, writing pedagogy, and public relations crisis communication, has been published in the Canadian Journal of Communication, Public Relations Review, the Journal of Canadian Studies, Journalism History, Media History, Composition Studies, Canadian Journal of Media Studies, and Sport History Review.
