Session One — Ace the Interview: Building Your Foundation
Now that you’ve submitted your application, it’s time to bring it to life. In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to make a strong first impression, communicate with confidence, and respond to interview q questions naturally and authentically. We’ll explore interview presence, body language, voice, storytelling, and practical frameworks for approaching common university interview questions—with plenty of opportunities to put these skills into practice. You’ll leave with a clear set of tools you can use immediately, along with a practical challenge to complete before Session Two.
Session Two — Ace the Interview: From Practice to Performance
Knowing what you want to say is one thing. Communicating it effectively under pressure is another. In this hands-on session, you’ll build on the foundations from Session One by tackling more challenging questions, learning how to speak effectively about your strengths and experiences, and developing the confidence to respond without sounding rehearsed. Through mock interviews, peer feedback, and practical coaching, you’ll learn how to stay present, think on your feet, and communicate what makes you distinctive. The goal isn’t to deliver a perfect interview. It’s to walk into the real one prepared, confident, and ready to connect.
SESSION INSTRUCTOR: Caroline van den Berg-Kuehn
Caroline is a German-Canadian classical singer, arts director, coach, and educator who has spent more than two decades performing on stages across North America and Europe. Along the way, she discovered that many of the same skills that help performers connect with an audience are equally valuable in interviews, presentations, leadership roles, and professional settings.
Today, Caroline works with students, executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals to help them develop greater confidence, presence, and communication effectiveness. Drawing on her extensive performance experience, she helps people understand not only what they say, but how they say it—using voice, posture, mindset, and presence to communicate more authentically and effectively.
