From Leisure to Learning: Maximizing Your Summer Break

Our guests will tell us how their programs have helped students explore interests in artificial intelligence, business, and the sciences, among other areas.

Venture Camp is a summer entrepreneurship program where ambitious high school students launch their own business. In past cohorts, our student entrepreneurs have started businesses like a skincare brand for individuals with Ehlers-Danlos, a machinist SaaS software, a local care detailing service, and more. Ben previously was the co-founder/CEO of a venture-backed digital healthcare company which raised $10m from investors, grew to over 80 employees, and impacted many hundreds of families. Ben also spent time in product/engineering roles at Instacart, Lyft, and Google. Ben is a graduate of UPenn’s Management of Technology program with 2 degrees in business (The Wharton School) and computer science.
Dr. Andrea Maldonado
Director of Educator Relations and International Admissions, National Student Leadership Conference
Andrea brings a wealth of professional experience in higher education, including college counselling, admissions and student affairs. Her 20+-year history with the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) has given her profound knowledge about pre-college enrichment programs in the United States. After receiving her doctorate degree in anthropology from Brown University in 2014, she joined NSLC full time as the founder and director of international and overseas admissions. Andrea has worked with hundreds of schools across the globe to promote life-changing leadership conferences to outstanding middle and high school students.
Tyler Moulton
Head of Partnerships and Publications, Veritas AI
Tyler is the Head of Partnerships and Publication at Veritas AI. A former Harvard x Cambridge researcher who worked at the intersection of AI and Astronomy, they are a big believer in all things education, mentorship, and, of course, AI! They are incredibly excited to present on the Veritas AI program, a Computer Science and AI project-based learning program for ambitious middle and high school students. Tyler is a graduate of Harvard University.
